potty training!

As a mom of 3 I think the worst thing I have ever had to go through was potty training! I'm not sure there is any thing more stressful then the debate of undies vs pull ups, wetting pants, having great progress one day and noting but fails the next...I could go on!
Elijah potty trained at around 21 months and got a hang of it right away! I was soo proud of him! Now with Tiernan I had been diapering for 4 years and had 2 in diapers so I said when school ends he IS potty training. It was a bit of a fight at first, then he did amazing! As the treats, stickers and happy dances stopped, so did his successes. He now will pop in his undies multiple times a day and then when I ask him why, "becasue i a baby!" He HATES being called a baby, but that sounds like a good reason to him at the time! The next day he will make it every time. I just don;t get it! We are getting close to two months now and we still are wearing pulls up more often than not. Elijah was full time undies at 2 months.
ANd to think I have one more left to do this whole thing with again. I might just be bald by then if things don't start progressing with this little boy.

Now lets start over

So I am now half way into reading "Stay Home, Stay happy" and im really enjoying the book, it has a lot of great advice! Lots of what shes says seems like DUH! In your face obvious things that we just dont do! While we all know if we have a problem with our spouse we should confront him right away and not wait 2 weeks till we blow up about something tiny and then it all come out Or that we should have our children help us out, even though its so much faster and easier to just to it our self, they still need to learn. All that and more and I still have half the book to read.
She gives tips on how to get things done right and staying calm with everything being a stay at home momma! I like being a stay at home mom for the most part, but I think this book will help me to enjoy it more. I can't wait to LOVE my job!
As I read I have been trying to change little things about our family, and my stay at home life. One of which will me this very blog! Today I started havng my 2 and 4 year old start "chores." In all honesty I'm not sure what chores tey can do, but Im going to start a chore chart for the both of them and give them stickers when chore are completed and some sort of prize for the number of stickers. I haven't really figured it out 100% yet.
The only chore type thing they did today was laundry! Yes I had my 2 and 4 year old helping with laundry and before you call CPS on me (joking of course) they loved it! I sat the 2 year old on the washer, handed him clothes to put in, and the 4 year old emptied the dryer which of course he had to climb all the way in to get that last bib from the back haha! Then as it washed they helped sort clothes by peson. Elijah was much better than Tiernan at sorting but he is 2 years older. Then i emptied the washer to a basket and Tiernan loaded the dryer from the basket as Elijah picked the dirty clothes off the floor for the washer.
Yes I could have done it myself, and it would have taken far less time, but if I don't leach the kids how to do it them self 1- I'll be doing it for them forever 2- their future wives will be VERY frustrated with them! The best part of it all was they enjoyed it and asked to help more. Good start to chores, and they know nothing about possible future treats for doing so.

One hour in pictures! 1-22-11

This is from Firday 1-22-11 it kinda took me a while to get around to posting and I forgot to rotate the pics beforehand! Sorry!!

I got this for Christmas and it couldn't be more true! I hear "mommy I gotta go potty"
Son #1 is up! Morning Elijah!
Kylie is still sleeping, arms behind her head legs up!
Silly baby!
it says 7:45 but hubby sets it ahead so its really 7:33
After our potty trip Kylie is awake!
Off to go get her amoxicillion (spelling)
"Seriously mom again?"

I told you I don't like it!
I WILL be back for you!
Good morning Tiernan! Son #2 is up!
Diaper change for Kylie!
Now the switch!

What Eli doing during the diaper changes? Oh yeah "reading" his book!

A little play time for Kylie!

And breakfast is served!
All linned up! The kitchen table was taken over with random stuff so they ate in the living room... Im a bad mom :)

Even worse they were watching Handy Manny too!
Coffee is brewing!
Kylie gets jealous of the boys cereal, so she gets some puffs!

Coffe is ready!
Yes the boots are mandatory all day everyday that and his cheesey face!
I still take my prenatals...with my coffee...
Looked ut side to see if it snowed... Sure did! At least it is pretty...
Only 8:04?
Lets try to use the computer for a minute...
That didn't last long! Tiernan spilled Elijahs Juice!

Kylie is Elijah's girl!
The boys ate breakfast, now it's Kylies turn!
Now silly faces!
Kylie liked it...
Tiernan is still shoving food in his face!
Now its time to wreck the living room and take every toy out! And yes that is our Christmas tree in the box STILL in the living room! SOMEONE is just to lazy to put it in the basement!

I tried to get a final time but it didn't work, so this is where my hour ends!

remember when...

Remember when I posted last? Yea well I don't! Been busy with 3 kiddos lately! This morning I took pictures of the first hour of my day... That was interesting...the first like 45 mins was crazy busy then it just died down...I think only because the kids were eating and watching tv! Yes I'm the terrible mom who lets then eat their cereos/kix and juicy juice in front of the tv. At least its not like the sugar cereal and kool aid right?

So the boys might be getting bunk beds like soon! But then Elijah (4 in march) will be on the top AHHHHH! But they turn in to separate twin beds when they are ready. Right now thats great because the boys need to share a room and Tiernan needs to get out of the crib so Kylie can use it. It will be good for the long run too, when we have a bigger place and the boys have their own beds! Im thinking Eli will fall out though, he's definitely not the most graceful person! I can see him crawling down and sleeping with Tiernan on the bottom though!

Ok well I'm going to go play with the kids till nap time then I'll upload my pics and post my hour in a day on here!
